Get ready to return to the 90s and 00s with the Old Skool Day Rave at Strings on Saturday 29th November 2025.
Following the success of the annual Easter Bank Holiday parties featuring Kevin & Perry and Prodigy legend Leeroy Thornhill, DJ Omar is back with another banger strictly for the Old Skool ravers!
This time, it’s a Day Rave – running from 2.00pm to 7.00pm at Strings, the Island’s favourite live venue…so you can expect enhanced production, lighting, and those legendary lasers!
Joining the lineup are two HUGE icons from the rave era: DJ SLIPMATT and BABY D!
The Godfather of Rave, Legend, International Hero – all titles given by fans worldwide to the DJ, producer, and scene pioneer known as Slipmatt.
For over 35 years, this dubplate diamond has led the way, filling dancefloors and selling out clubs before it was cool – and still does to this day.
Slipmatt is also one of the masterminds behind the legendary production outfit SL2 (with DJ Lime), the visionaries behind chart-smashing anthems like “On a Ragga Tip,” “DJs Take Control,” and “Way In My Brain,” released on the iconic XL Recordings label.
He’s played every major rave and dance event of the era – including Energy, Telepathy, Fantazia, Universe, World Dance, Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Moondance, Raindance, Clockwork Orange, God’s Kitchen and many more.
Also on the bill and performing live are Baby D.
Best known for the massive #1 UK hit “Let Me Be Your Fantasy” in 1994, Baby D are a breakbeat hardcore and house group who helped define a generation of rave anthems.
