The second instalment of Sounds of The South, a partnership between Strings and BBC Introducing Solent.

The artists appearing include:

Emilia Tarrant: Independent pop artist Emilia Tarrant is recognised for her raw and relatable songwriting, inspired by her own day to day experiences, including mental health, relationships, friendships etc. She has already achieved remarkable milestones in her career, including support from Radio 1’s Future Pop and National BBC Introducing, performing Glastonbury 2022 and landing an impressive 11 syncs on Love Island, gaining 100k Shazams, and Shazam chart positions of UK 16 & Global 23. Her music has had over 4 million streams across platforms, been placed on 16 Apple editorial playlists (inc A-List Pop) and Spotify editorial playlists (inc New Music Friday and Fresh Finds).

LLORÉN: Singer, songwriter producer, Llorén uses cinematic and contemporary-inspired compositions and storytelling lyrics to deliver an infectious sound. Having spent a good part of 2023/24 in Los Angeles, where she wrote and recorded her debut album titled 'It's Always Sunny In LA', Llorén also continues her prolific work in the sync world working with composers in LA, Nashville, UK and Europe having landed now over 30 spots including E4, HBO, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, The L Word, Sullivan's Crossing, The One That Got Away, Selling The OC, Selling Sunset, Love Island US, many episodes of Love Island UK and now a major US brand TV commercial featuring 'Like This'  taken from her upcoming debut album.

2024 saw Llorén releasing a number of new singles off the album leading up to its release (2025) filled with big dream pop anthems, retro euphoric sounds and hyper romantic themes starting with "Like This" (Always Sunny Mix)" (as heard on The L Word and Love Island), "California Daydream""Worth the Wait" and "The One" which had its first radio play on BBC London and online premiere on The Line of Best Fit.

The Optimists: The Optimists deliver a riff-driven fusion of 90s and 2000s alternative music, earning a loyal fan base along the South Coast and beyond. Their energetic live shows and catchy melodies have audiences chanting along and dancing to favourites like "Chase the Sun" and "Retro-Mania."
