The Beat are an influential British band formed in 1978.
They emerged as leading figures of the late 1970s 2-Tone ska revival movement, alongside groups like The Specials, Madness and The Selecter. The band achieved global acclaim by fusing ska, punk rock, reggae, soul, pop and Latin rhythms into an energetic, highly danceable sound!
The band is led by Ranking Jr, son of Ranking Roger who sadly passed away in 2019.
